An International Scholarship award winner from SIU, Dr. Anand Khakhar is currently a Senior Consultant in Liver Transplant & Hepatobiliary Surgery at the Centre for Liver Disease & Transplantation, Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, as well as the Program Director for the Liver Transplant program. He performs both living donor and cadaveric liver transplants.
Dr. Khakhar spent 18 months as a 'Clinical Instructor' in transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at Columbia University before returning to India.
