LYLF a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Anand K Khakhar, Ms. Gitanjali J B, and Dr. Manesh S Gopaasetty in 2014 to reach out to the general public and raise awareness about liver health, concerns, and disorders, with the primary goal of lowering liver diseases in India.

About Dr. Anand K Khakhar

An International Scholarship award winner from SIU, Dr. Anand Khakhar is currently a Senior Consultant in Liver Transplant & Hepatobiliary Surgery at the Centre for Liver Disease & Transplantation, Apollo Hospitals in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, as well as the Program Director for the Liver Transplant program. He performs both living donor and cadaveric liver transplants.

Dr. Khakhar spent 18 months as a 'Clinical Instructor' in transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at Columbia University before returning to India. He has also received advanced training in transplant immunology, including 'transplant tolerance.' He's now a part of LYLF as a liver transplant surgeon and is a valuable asset to the organization...
